The Dallas Comedy Festival returns to Deep Ellum for a 10th year this March with Rory Scovel, Daniel Van Kirk, Jaime Moyer, and Maribeth Monroe headlining a lineup of 213 local and touring comedians. From March 26 to March 30, the festival will present 46 shows spanning improv, sketch comedy, stand-up, live podcast recordings, and industry panels.

Scovel, who’s known for his Netflix special, Rory Scovel Tries Stand-Up for the First Time, as well as his role in Amy Schumer’s I Feel Pretty, will join Daniel Van Kirk (Bob’s Burgers, The NFL Network, The UCB Show) for the first-ever live recording of their Podcast, Pen Pals, on Friday night at 9 p.m. The duo respond to letters written in by their listeners, spanning a variety of topics from having children to road rage to manatees.

Jaime Moyer and Maribeth Monroe are also teaming up for the festival, where they’ll perform their high-energy improv show Moyer & Monroe on both Friday and Saturday night.

Monroe, who resides in the Medium Place in The Good Place, has also appeared in Workaholics, Parks and Recreation, Modern Family, The Backup Plan, and others.

Moyer, an alumni of The Second City-Detroit, has had recurring guest roles on Modern Family, Parks and Recreation, 2 Broke Girls, and Jennifer Falls. In addition to her performances, the comedian–who has extensive experience teaching improv–will also lead a character wheel workshop on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Also included in the group of headliners is Chicago-based improv group The Late ‘90s, who will open for Moyer & Monroe on Friday and Saturday night of the festival.

Representing the local area will be Dallas Comedy House’s Full Body Cast, Dallas-raised, New York-based comedian Ashlee Voorsanger, and Christie Wallace and Heather McKinney of the Sinisterhood Podcast, among others.

Individual tickets for the tenth annual Dallas Comedy Festival go on sale this Friday, March 1, prices TBA. Weekend-long badges for the festival are currently on sale, starting at $160.
